Saariston Kaivonporaus is a family-owned company providing geothermal and drilling work, with a history dating back to 1970. The company has extensive experience in energy solutions that can help consumers not only save money but also reduce their carbon footprint.
The company came to us with a need to sharpen their brand and update its visual look to match their modern attitude. The new brand identity needed to be fresh and to convey company’s expertise, dedication and, above all, humanity. There was also a demand for defining the company’s tone of voice and to create compelling storytelling.
Together with the customer, we defined the brand’s essence, values, vision, mission and brand proposal. The mission of Saariston Kaivonporaus “The basic needs of living with a feeling and an uncompromising attitude” emphasizes employees’ passion for their work and their dedication to high quality.
On the basis of the brand strategy, we designed the visual identity to reflect both fresh and reliable spirit. The color scheme was picked from Finnish nature, which is very important for the company as it originates from the archipelago. The playful graphics express the twinkle in the eye of Saariston Kaivonporaus. An important goal of the visuals was to emphasize the company’s ecological values and to make the appearance to stand out from the stiffness of the traditionally heavy industry. The verbal identity was defined to communicate authenticity, reliability and concreteness.
The brand strategy was compiled into a brand book, and the look was implemented across all interfaces. We redesigned the company’s website to highlight the experiences of end-users via compelling content creation.
